Terms & Conditions

TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR GUEST HOUSES, TREEHOUSES, LOV’NID, YURTS, CHALETS, and BUBBLES (Ploëmel, 6 miles from Carnac):

(Valid from 1 January 2014)

1) RULES OF YOUR STAY

Arrivals/Departures:

Guests are welcome to check in between 4.30pm and 7pm. Departure by 11:00 for guest houses, 11.30am for yurts, the caravan, chalet, and hanging tents, and midday for log cabins and the lov’nid.

Please plan your arrival according to the above times. Outside of these times, access is not guaranteed.

It is essential that you warn us if you will be arriving late or you suffer any last minute delays.

If you do not comply with these times, you will be charged €15 per room and per hour of delay in order to compensate the staff.

Night time arrivals are not possible for Nijãl and Neh er lenn (Treehouses at a height of 8-10m). They are reserved exclusively for adults with a good level of fitness (excluding pregnant women and sleepwalkers, who should also avoid the Lov’Nid) and free from vertigo.

The guest, the signatory to this fixed-term contract, may not under any circumstances remain on the premises once their rental period has come to an end.

Sanitation in unique accommodation (yurts, log cabins, lov’nid, caravan, chalet, bubbles):

Log cabins, yurts, the caravan and chalet all come with a small water tank that enables guests to freshen up, as well as a dry toilet.

Dry toilets are also provided on the campsite, in the trees for hanging bubble tents, and next to the lov’nid. Traditional washing and toilet facilities are available on the main farm.

Only the guest room has a separate bathroom and toilet.

Bedding & Towels:

Bedding is provided for all beds excluding cots and in the hanging tents, for which guests are required to bring a sleeping bag or quilt, a large sheet and pillows.

Towels are provided for rooms on the main farm only.

Dress appropriately for a rural environment (access by sunken paths, muddy in winter), trousers rather than skirts when wearing the harness for Nijal and Neh er Lenn, and bring appropriate luggage (backpacks) to avoid excess baggage.

Heating:

In the log cabins, yurts, caravan and chalet, our guests may light the stove between October and March, when needed. Outside these periods, you may reserve heating (€15/night) in April and May.

The hanging bubble tents and the lov’nid are not heated.

Meals:

Guests in the guest room will have breakfast brought to their door around 9am (with hot drinks), to be enjoyed in bed (no extra charge). During periods of fine weather, breakfast can also be enjoyed on the terrace.

Gusts staying in yurts, log cabins, the lov’nid, caravan and chalet will have a breakfast basket delivered to the foot of the cabin (hoisted up using a pulley system) or to the door at around 9am.

You are free to enjoy breakfast in bed or out on the terrace.

For hanging bubble tents, your breakfast hamper will be waiting for you on the restaurant terrace from 9am. You can enjoy breakfast back at your bubble tent or indoors during bad weather.

Picnics are allowed on site, but guests must clean up after themselves.

Gourmet hampers are also available to order and enjoy either in your unusual accommodation or outdoors (€30/adult, including drinks).

2) CHANGING/CANCELLING your booking:

Changes to your stay:

Any changes to dates, location, length of stay, number of guests or family members must be approved by Dihan. Changes may incur additional charges. Dihan cannot guarantee that it will be able to change your booking owing to scheduling restrictions: if changes cannot be made, the booking still has to be paid in full.

If a solution is found (such as finding other guests to take your booking) more than one week ahead of your booking, then you will have nothing to pay. If it is less than one week before your booking then you will be billed for 50% of the cost of your stay.

Your booking may be cancelled or changed due to circumstances beyond our control. If this occurs, we will offer an equivalent stay with different dates or accommodation options as per availability. If this offer is not acceptable, we will refund the full value of your stay. No further compensation may be claimed.

If a guest refuses to climb up to their cabin (due to fear or vertigo, etc.), then they may be lodged elsewhere, availability permitting, but no refund will be offered.

In extreme weather (gales, cold snaps, storms, etc.) we reserve the right to lodge guests in another location, according to availability, and at no extra charge. In this case alone will guests receive a 50% discount on their next stay, depending upon availability.

Cancellations:

If cancelled more than one month ahead of your booking, 30% of the cost will be withheld.

If cancelled less than one month but more than one week ahead of your booking, 60% of the cost will be withheld.

Any bookings cancelled within 7 days prior to your arrival date, together with early departures for any reason whatsoever and failure to arrive, are not eligible for a refund, and the entire cost of the stay will be owed or retained by Dihan. No refunds are provided if guests leave earlier than planned, for whatever reason.

3) PAYMENT/RESERVATION:

Please see the reservation contract or terms and conditions online.
